About the Author: D.A. Ball was once given an audience by the former dictator of Paraguay who did not believe the young American spoke Guaran, a local indigenous language.
After winning an award for "Lawyer of the Year" for his work on a prominent death penalty case, D.A. Ball was relieved of his duties by now-defunct Louisiana law firm, McGlinchey, Stafford, for having spent too much time on that same pro bono case the firm had asked him to handle in order to curry favor with a local federal judge.
After tours in Saudi Arabia and Oman, D.A. Ball now practices law in New York City.
